This image, along with images 03-01-0030, image 03-01-0031, and image 03-01-0033, is an oblique coronal proton density MRI scans of the shoulder after instillation of a dilute solution of gadolinium into the joint. These images are obtained in the plane of the supraspinatus and are displayed from posterior (image 03-01-0030) to anterior (image 03-01-0033). This view shows the supraspinatus muscle (SS) and its tendon inserting on the greater tuberosity of the humerus. The low-signal biceps tendon (B) is outlined by contrast in the biceps sheath.
