Discoid Lupus: Skin Lesions, Face
Facial lesions are seen in this 8-year-old girl with discoid lupus erythematosus. These are well-demarcated, scaling, somewhat indurated plaques, which may have areas of atrophy, hyper- and hypopigmentation, scaling, and telangiectasia. The lesions may occur singly or in crops, and although often disfiguring, are usually asymptomatic.
