Rheumatoid Arthritis: Hand
Multiple subcutaneous nodules that developed rapidly in relation to methotrexate therapy. The nodules on the extensor surfaces of the fingers disappeared upon cessation of methotrexate therapy. Methotrexate therapy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis may be associated with an abrupt onset and rapid development of a large number of subcutaneous nodules, especially on the fingers. The nodules may regress or disappear upon cessation of methotrexate therapy.
