Osteogenesis Imperfecta: Blue Sclerae
This 46-year-old woman has blue sclerae consistent with type I osteogenesis imperfecta. Although blue sclerae may be present in other types of osteogenesis imperfecta during childhood, blue sclerae persisting into adulthood are most characteristic of type I osteogenesis imperfecta. Blue scerae may also be seen in other disorders with collagen abnormalities.
