Metastatic Bone Disease: Lumbar Spine
This 79 year-old woman presented with pain and weakness in both legs. MR imaging showed a mass arising from the posterior aspects of the L4 and L5 vertebral bodies, obliterating the dural space. At surgery, the mass proved to be metastatic carcinoma arising from a primary tumor resected from the vagina 8 years earlier.
